Mission Statement:

For more than 30 years Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett has been educating and empowering children who need a dedicated and flexible school setting to maximize their potential. We nurture and challenge each student at their own level while instilling a positive self-image and love for learning that will last a lifetime. Your support will help bring this mission to life for these deserving children now and in the future.

Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett is dedicated to serving every child and young adult who wants to be part of our family. We offer many ways to support, each of which is both unique and impactful. We hope you’ll find a cause which provides you a path to help make a difference.

The Annual Fund

SNS Bowl-a-thon

While tuition provides the basics for our students, the Annual Fund exists to elevate the educational standard with enhanced supplies, materials and experiences. Your contribution ensures that every students receives the best possible education while at SNS.

How to Support:

  • The Annual Fund Donor Club: This group of donors is vital to delivering the best educational experience possible. Contributions can be funded in a variety of ways. Each donor will be recognized in our annual report, on our website and with a dedicated Facebook post if desired.

    • Friend: $249 or less
    • Ally: $250 - $499
    • Sponsor: $500 - $999
    • Partner: $1,000 - $4,999
    • Member: $5,000 - $9,999
    • Trustee: $10,000 - $19,999
    • Benefactor: $20,000 or more
  • Classroom Wish List: These items have been requested by teachers to help make a difference in their classrooms and around the school.
  • Partner Support Programs: Support SNS by participating in giving programs offered by businesses you use every day. Most require only a one-time registration but SNS receives support each time you shop!

The "They Will Grow" Capital Fund

They Will Grow Fund

We are proud of what we offer today, and gifts to the “They Will Grow” Capital Fund ensure we will continue to meet the needs of tomorrow. The first phase of our new building is nearing completion and future phases will provide a more well-rounded educational experience and provide us with the space to serve more young people. Contributions to this fund are an investment in our future success.

How to Support:

  • Naming Rights Program: The perfect way to support SNS and create a legacy for your family, foundation or business.

    • School Building: $500,000
    • Portico: $200,000
    • Dining Room: $70,000 (Secured)
    • Administrative Office: $50,000
    • Lobby: $35,000
    • Sun Terrace (2): $30,000
    • Classroom (7): 25,000 (3 Secured)
    • Corridor (2): $25,000
    • Therapy Room (2): $20,000
  • The Capital Fund Donor Club: This group of donors is vital to ensuring our continued development. Each donor will be recognized in our annual report, on our website and with a dedicated Facebook post if desired.

    • Bronze: $1,000
    • Silver: $5,000
    • Gold: $10,000
    • Platinum: $20,000
    • Diamond: $50,000 or more
  • Legacy Brick Program: Have your legacy live on forever by purchasing a brick in your name or in honor of a loved one.

The Student Scholarship Fund

They will grow Fund

While we are proud to offer very competitive tuition rates, for many families the cost to provide their child with a proper education can be a significant burden. Supporting the Student Scholarship Fund helps remove that barrier for deserving students and their families.

How to Support:

  • Georgia Student Scholarship Organization (GaSSO) Program: This program allows individuals, couples, small businesses and corporations to donate a portion of their Georgia state tax liability for scholarships at participating schools and receive a dollar for dollar tax credit. You are controlling how the State of Georgia utilizes the taxes you are already paying. Maximum annual donation amounts are as follows:

    • Individual: $1,000 max
    • Married/Joint: $2,500 max
    • Small Business Owners: $10,000 max
    • Large Corporations: 75% of GA Tax Liability
  • Legacy Scholarship Program: Create a student scholarship for a deserving student(s) at SNS by forming a Legacy Scholarship. This can be created for any desired amount and done on a one time or annual basis.
  • General Scholarship Fund: Provide a donation of any amount to be used in our general scholarship program.
  • Legacy Scholarships must be funded prior to distribution. These and General Scholarship contributions can be funded in a variety of ways.

The YALLS Fund

They will grow Fund

Adults with disabilities age out of the public education sector on their 22nd birthdays, leaving families to make difficult choices about their loved ones. The Young Adults Learning Life Skills (YALLS) program provides an environment for these young people to grow their independence in the community, workplace and in their homes. Your support of the YALLS Fund will ensure that these young adults will have the opportunity to develop a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

How to Support:

  • YALLS Naming Rights Program: Becoming the Naming Rights Partner of the YALLS building will allow us to completely renovate it, update all components and introduce opportunities for additional growth.

    • YALLS Building: $200,000
  • YALLS “Official Transportation Partner” Program: The nature of the YALLS program includes frequent trips off campus for these young adults to learn and serve with local partners. Your support will ensure the YALLS have access to safe and reliable transportation.
    • Official Transportation Partner: $75,000*
      *Designation can also be obtained by donating (2) qualifying vehicles or providing a complimentary lease for a term no less than (2) years.
  • Programming Support: These funds will help provide additional resources, supplies and experiences that create a more rewarding learning environment.
  • Scholarship Support: Help provide easier access for these young adults and their families by providing scholarships to help reduce their programming fees.
  • Education and Life Skills Partner: If you are a local business or organization that can offer education, training or life skills opportunities that can help our young adults, we’d love to work with you. Whether you can visit us on campus or host us at your facilities, providing engaging and enriching opportunities helps take their experience to a higher level.
  • Legacy Scholarships must be funded prior to distribution. These and General Scholarship contributions can be funded in a variety of ways.
