Let's build a Garden

SNS Build a Garden

Four students from Gwinnett Technical School has paired up with SNSG to build a garden with the students of SNSG.

The purpose of this event is to build a garden for special needs children to improve motor skills, enhance creativity, increase social skills and improve self-confidence. The garden will build endurance and hand dexterity, provide opportunity to develop speech to share discoveries while playing in the soil.

The main goal is to make sure kids with special needs have the same opportunities as their typically developing peers, because so often special needs kids are turned away from out-of-school activities. The garden component will provide a number of unique benefits to help in achieving success.

Benefitting charity of Mitsubishi Electric Classic earns annual award

“We could not be more excited or appreciative of this great honor. The generous spirit of the greater metro Atlanta area showcased itself during the 2017 Mitsubishi Electric Classic and we are extremely proud to be a part of such an impactful event in our community. On behalf of the students, families and staff at Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett, we are overwhelmingly thankful for the generosity of PGA TOUR Champions and the dedication of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic. This kind of commitment will help Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett continue to deliver on our IF WE BUILD IT, THEY WILL GROW campaign.
